Thursday, July 31, 2014 / Tucson
Ever wondered what goes on behind the doors of your local screen printer? Join AIGA Arizona in Tucson as we get a behind-the-scenes tour of the Tanline Printing studio with owner Jeik Ficker. Jeik will not only show us how those beautiful designs are made, but also talk to us about upcoming classes and how to get involved in the Tucson Community Print Shop.

This event is perfect for designers and crafters interested in learning how to make hands-on printed pieces, as well as anyone who wants to know more about printing promotional products. Attendance is limited to 12 people, so don’t forget to sign up early.

About Jeik: A screen printer since age 15, Jeik Ficker is the sole proprietor of Tanline Printing. Jeik's goal with Tanline Printing is to simultaneously make a living and give back to the community, working with artists to promote their work and convey a message through the power of making multiples. Tanline screen prints shirts, hats, posters, stickers, specialty items, and any "oddball stuff" that people want to print on. Tanline also has planted sticker vending machines throughout downtown Tucson disseminating local artists' work. Most recently, Jeik has started the Tucson Community Print Shop, an all-ages space to provide printmaking workshops, memberships, and studio space.
