Join AIGA AZ for a night at the movies as we watch a film about local legend Paolo Soleri.

The Vision of Paolo Soleri: Prophet in the Desert is the story of an unprecedented artistic quest. Born in Torino, Italy in 1919, Soleri came to America in 1946 to mentor under Frank Lloyd Wright at Taliesin West, Arizona. After one and a half years, Soleri left Wright to embark on a blazing original course of his own. While uncovering Soleri's legacy as an architect, environmentalist, and philosopher, the film poses critical questions about mankind's future, and architecture in a world facing environmental, social, and economic crisis. Few architects have proposed more ambitious design, and been less prone to compromise.

Film starts at 7:00PM

Being a killer coder is great, but what if you had a go-to designer who could help create amazing visuals and make your sites look even better? On the flip side, every digital designer knows a good developer is the key to making your work come to life.

Join us to network with other digital workers who can partner with you on projects, help create an even better final product, and make you look like a hero to your clients.

Here's how the event will work:

  • Attendees will have name tags and "Speeding Tickets", which will include everyone's names, email addresses, and specialty areas so you can easily stay in touch.
  • Just like speed dating, each designer/developer duo will have a few minutes to talk and then fill out a form to see if there's a mutual desire to follow up. There also will be open networking before or after the event so everyone can mix and mingle.
  • You'll leave with new business contacts, friends, and inspiration for your next project.

Note: Please, no recruiters. We love helping people find jobs, but this event is for peer networking only.

Event registration will be open SOON and location still TBD!
